Mikeleya Mitchell and Takyra Chatman of Cleveland’s Central neighborhood are the inaugural recipients of Cleveland State University’s Central Neighborhood Scholarship.
Both of them plan to major in nursing. Mitchell graduated from John Hay Early College High School and Chatman graduated from Martin Luther King Jr. High School.
The four-year, full-tuition Central Neighborhood Scholarship is part of the TEDxClevelandStateUniversity Commits Initiative to strengthen ties between CSU and the Central community.
