Parent Connection Newsletter

Hello CSU Parents and Family Members!

Welcome to the Fall 2010 edition of the Parent Connection newsletter. We hope you and your student are enjoying the semester so far! Whether your student is brand new or almost ready to graduate, much has changed on campus this Fall. The new Student Center opened in September, featuring many more opportunities for students to hang out and get involved not to mention all of the great new dining locations like Quizno's and Uno's Pizza. Euclid Commons, the new residence hall, also opened in August and students are raving about their rooms (not to mention the dishwashers in each suite). And, CSU was named one of America's Best Colleges for the second year in a row. Plus, CSU hit an 18 year-enrollment high with over 17,000 students.

As a parent and family member, you play a huge role in the success of your student. We encourage you to stay in contact and support your student through the trials that come with being a college student (laundry dilemmas, relationships, fitting in, balancing life and classes). But we don't expect you to do it on your own. All of the staff and faculty at Cleveland State are committed to helping your student graduate. If your student does not know who to contact, please feel free to contact our Orientation staff and we will guide your student in the right direction!

The next edition of Parent Connection comes out in January 2011. In the meantime, please feel free to contact our staff at 216.687.9379 or Also, please check out our Parent & Family website for more helpful information:
