Being Moral without God: Preacher Turned Atheist Dan Barker to Speak at CSU on Saturday, April 24

Leading Atheist Dan Barker, in conjunction with the Secular Student Alliance (SSA) and Cleveland State University’s “Non-Prophets,” will host a talk at Cleveland State University on Saturday, April 24 at 6 p.m. in the first floor auditorium, Nance College of Business, located in Monte Ahuja Hall at 1860 East 18th Street.

The theme of Barker’s talk is whether and how one can be moral without belief in a higher power. Admission is free, though the SSA is accepting donations for cancer research. Seating and parking may be limited; please reserve a space by contacting Bryan Pesta at b.pesta@csuohio.edu.

Barker is a former preacher turned atheist and director of the Freedom from Religion Foundation (www.ffrf.org), the largest group of organized atheists, agnostics and freethinkers in the world. The Secular Student Alliance is a national organization that aids student groups in the freethought movement. The Non-Prophets represent CSU’s local chapter of the Secular Student Alliance.
