On July 2, a delegation from Cleveland’s sister city, Rouen, France, visited the CSU campus. Last summer, City of Cleveland officials, including Mayor Jackson, as well as representatives of CSU traveled to Rouen to promote Cleveland and witness the official signing of the sister-city agreement. This summer, the Rouen delegation, led by Mayor Valerie Fourneyron and Deputy Mayor, Bruno Bertheuil, returned the visit.
Included in the 14-member delegation were two representatives, Philippe Bance and Patrice Cohen, of the Université de Rouen, a new international partner of CSU. During the visit, the Rouen delegation gave an introduction to CSU, and university representatives from both sides discussed exchange programs in French, Music, and Economics.
The afternoon concluded with a reception, hosted by Gregory Sadlek and George Burke, and sponsored by the Office of the CSU President and the French-American Chamber of Commerce. The reception was held in the Urban College Atrium, with live jazz music provided by faculty members John Perrine and Rock Wehrmann.
Also visiting the campus for the reception were French and American business leaders as well as representatives from Case Western Reserve University, John Carroll University, and Mount Union College.
