Dr. Bahman Ghorashi has been named Dean of CSU’s Fenn College of Engineering by the Cleveland State University Board of Trustees upon the recommendation of Provost Mary Jane Saunders and President Michael Schwartz. Dean Ghorashi received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He joined Cleveland State University in 1978 where he was Interim Dean of Engineering and a full professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at the time of this appointment.
Dr. Ghorashi is also Director of Fenn Academy, a consortium of northeast Ohio school districts, corporations and Cleveland State University. He has held several administrative positions at CSU including Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Assistant Dean of Research, Interim Chairman of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering Department, Director of the Doctor of Engineering Program, and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Chemical Engineering.
Dean Ghorashi has more than 70 publications based on his research in management of technology and agile manufacturing, fluid mechanics, mixing and non-Newtonian fluid flow. More than 40 masters, doctoral and post-doctoral students have worked under Professor Ghorashi's supervision.
