CSU engineering student, alumnus continue their 2,000-mile journey for good cause

CSU alumnus Tom Kotula and engineering student Jon Hauserman used their mechanical engineering knowledge to convert a small sailboat to a solar powered row boat, and are well on their way to completing a 2,000 mile journey from Cleveland to the Florida Keys that the began on June 7. Along the way they have been stopping to do work for Habitat for Humanity.

As they rowed through New York City on the Hudson River, their story caught the attention of the producers of CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. Click here to see their inspiring story.
