Vickie Peters joined the CSU Music Department in the Fall of 2005 as the Administrative Coordinator for the Cleveland Contemporary Players. Vickie moved to Cleveland from Madison, Wisconsin where she had been the Administrative Assistant for the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra and where she was a free-lance project coordinator for the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
As a vocal performance major at UW-Madison, Ms. Peters had the honor and pleasure of singing in Robert Fountain’s Concert Choir. Ms. Peters attributes her passion for the musical arts to the profound impact Robert Fountain had on her life. Ms. Peters is the author and Project Coordinator for the Robert Fountain Legacy Project – a multi-faceted project conceived to pay homage to the life and musicianship of Robert Fountain (1917-1996), Director of Choral Activities at the University of Wisconsin from 1971 until his retirement in 1994.
Vickie is also founder and President of the Isthmus Vocal Ensemble, a 40-voice professional-grade chamber choir in Madison, Wisconsin which gathers together for two weeks of intensive rehearsals and a single public performance each summer. The group celebrated its fifth season in the summer of 2006 with the release of their first CD, “The Choral Works of Andrew Rindfleisch” available on the Clarion label.
