Theodore Johnson is a retired Cleveland Orchestra member of 36 years. In addition, he has performed with the Chicago Symphony, the Kansas City Philharmonic, the Santa Fe Opera, the Kansas City Lyric Opera, the Casals Festival Orchestra, the Cleveland Ballet, the Akron Symphony and the Canton Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Johnson has taught on the faculties of the Cleveland Institute of Music, Akron University, Blossom Music School, Kansas City Conservatory, the Cleveland Music School Settlement, and was director of woodwinds for the Kansas City, Kansas, school system. Mr. Johnson performed with the Cleveland Octet from 1983 to 1993. Mr. Johnson is founder of the Venner Ensemble. He is very active in chamber music and has performed as soloist with Martinu String Quartet of Praha, Czech Republic. He has performed as soloist with the Ft. Wayne Summer Symphony.
