Bachelor of Music in Education

Dr. Rita Klinger, Program Coordinator
Dr. Birch Browning

Albert Blaser, Emeritus

The future of music is in the hands of music education majors, and our students are well prepared to meet that mission. Students receive thorough training in the fundamentals of music, creating successful lessons, and managing a classroom and rehearsals. They also take classes in teaching instruments, voice and ensembles, and in choosing literature. Hands-on student teaching in the public school system starts in the junior year. Cleveland State students enjoy a high rate of placement and respect for their excellent training.
