Degree ProgramsDepartment of Music degrees and programs are designed to provide students with the exceptional musical training and solid educational grounding needed for a successful career in music. These programs have been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Undergraduate students who seek professional training in composition, music education, music therapy or performance may pursue the Bachelor of Music degree. Those who prefer to study music in its wider cultural context undertake the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in music. A music minor is also offered. The Master of Music degree is an excellent option for candidates with undergraduate music degrees seeking advanced standing in composition, music education and performance. The Department also works in conjunction with the College of Education and Human Services to offer post-baccalaureate coursework leading to Multi-Age Licensure in Music Education for teaching Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade. |
