(Go to Apple/Mac Standards)

For personal purchases, see the Discount Program webpage.

CSU develops standard configurations for computers to ensure that new purchases are supportable. This page provides the recommended configurations for standard and high-end computers. In addition, we have an agreement with Hewlett Packard to purchase computers matching the configurations at significant discounts. With each configuration is a link to a file containing current pricing from HP.

NOTES:

  1. Installation by an HP Contractor for Desktop and Notebook Computers is now included in the purchase price. Installation will include unboxing the unit, hooking the parts up, connecting it to the network (or wireless for notebooks), mapping existing network drives, hooking up a local printer and/or scanner, configuring your email, and installing a lockdown if also requested. The transfer of data from the old computer to the new one is an additional $13.50 which covers up to 10 GB of data transfer from one folder (i.e. my documents) and shortcuts stored in one folder. Data in excess of this amount or data stored in more than one location will result in additional costs. If you need lockdown equipment, the lockdown hardware is additional and can be requested when you order your computer.
  2. Requests to have additional software (Adobe products, SAS, SPSS, MS Project, MS Visio, etc.) loaded on your machine should be made to x5050 after the install is complete.
  3. Purchase of equipment through this program includes a pre-payment of PC and monitor disposal costs.
  4. All PCs and Laptops have factory imaging fees built into the price to preload the computers with CSU software.

For help in determining which configuration, please contact your college technical support staff, or, if you do not have a college technical staff, contact the Call Center at 687-5050.
