International Admissions Graduate Students Apply for Admission

Applications are accepted throughout the year. Follow these steps to apply for admission to Cleveland State:

STEP 1

Complete Application for Graduate Admissions
You may complete an application using one of the following methods:

STEP 2

Include Application Fee
A nonrefundable $30 application fee is required by check or money order (made payable to Cleveland State University). Students submitting an application online may pay with Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

STEP 3

Obtain Official Transcripts
Official transcripts of academic work and degree certificates from each college or university attended. PHOTOCOPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. If transcripts are not in English, please include an official / certified English translation of the original documents. Cleveland State will need to see each attempt at passing all courses in order to properly evaluation the credentials for a US grade point average.

STEP 4

Obtain Official English Language Results
Official English Language Results are required for admission into Cleveland State. You can request to have your test scores sent to Cleveland State directly from the testing agencies.

Obtain Official GRE or GMAT Test Results
Official GRE or GMAT scores are required for admission to Cleveland State a s required by your department. The admitting program has the option of requiring additional test results from applicants. Please check your department's requirements Click here.

STEP 5

Financial Verification
All international students must show financial (tuition and living expenses) support for one academic year. Financial documentation must be presented in order for Cleveland State University to issue an I-20 or DS 2019 form. Have your sponsor complete the financial verification and submit the forms with your application materials.

STEP 6

Submit Materials and Application Fee.
