On March 6th The Center for International Services and Programs co-hosted an event with Ten Thousand Villages, Sacred Path Books and Art and the Women’s Comprehensive Program to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Dr. Doaa Kandil and Professor Min Jian both visiting scholars in the Political Science Department at CSU were featured Speakers. Dr. Kandil, who is from Cairo Egypt delivered a fascinating lecture on the role of women in Islam.Professor Jian who is from China gave us a glimpse in to the changing lives of women in urban China.

Both the lectures and the reception that followed at Trinity Commons were enjoyed by those who attended.
