ASIAN STUDIES
The Asian Studies minor aims to heighten awareness of the rich and diverse histories and cultures of Asia, to stimulate cross-cultural interest among students in the social sciences and the humanities, and to cultivate an appreciation of Asian arts and literatures. Courses are offered through the departments of Anthropology, Art, History, Music, Political Science, and Religious Studies.

CSU in China: A changing politcal landscape
SUMMER 2008, May 13 - June 18
This 5-week, interdisciplinary program introduces students to Chinese language, culture, history, art and politics through classroom activities and site visits. Students learn the foundations of the Mandarin language, explore the rich history of Confucianism, and examine the impact of politics on art in China.
