Education Abroad

The Honors Program at CSU works closely with the Center for International Services and Programs (CISP) to create Study Abroad opportunities for students in the Honors and University Scholars programs. Spending time as a student abroad is a great way to learn about other cultures, make connections with students from other countries and universities, and to prepare yourselves for lives and careers in an increasingly global society. Students majoring in any discipline can benefit from a study abroad experience. Many students who study abroad remember that experience as the best part of their time at University.

We encourage you to consult the Education Abroad information made available through CISP and to discuss your Study Abroad plans with your Honors advisor, your departmental advisor, the Honors Director and the staff in the Center for International Services and Programs. Planning ahead is essential, so don't wait until a few weeks before you would like to travel. And, remember that there are various kinds of study abroad programs: some are limited to Honors students, some are open to anyone enrolled in University; some are for a whole semester or a full academic year; some are for a few weeks or for a summer; some are administered directly by CSU, while others involve working with other US universities.

You can get much more information about Study Abroad opportunities by calling the Center for International Services and Programs at 216.687.3910 or visit the International Services and Programs Center online. You can also discuss Study Abroad opportunities with the advisors in the Honors Office by calling 216.687.5559.
