University Scholars Program

Scholarships

Freshman Applicants:

Beginning with the Fall 2012 class, freshman students with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum 26 ACT composite score or 1190 SAT will be eligible to receive a $4,500 renewable merit scholarship, the University Scholars Award.

Students must accept admission to CSU and return the University Scholars Acceptance Form to the Honors Program Office prior to May 1st.

COF Success in Math

A Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program for freshmen students interested in pursuing a STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) major.

COF Success in Math is a State funded scholarship and academic program at CSU for incoming first year students who plan to pursue a major in one of the STEMM disciplines. Eligible students are identified from CSU applicants and invited to participate in the program. Preference will be given to students in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.

Participating students will receive a scholarship award for up to $5,200, based on the financial need. Students will participate in cohort activities including specialized advising, guest speakers, field trips, and other unique opportunities. Scholarships are renewable each year for students who remain in good standing with the program, contingent on State funding.

University Scholars in STEM

University Scholars in STEM is an exciting oppurtunity for students who are pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) major.

University Scholars in STEM is an NSF-funded scholarship and academic program for students in STEM disciplines. To apply for Fall 2013, students must be full time in a STEM major with 2 or 3 years of study remaining, a cummulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and an average GPA of 3.0 or higher in STEM courses.

If accepted, students will receive up to $10,000 in scholarship support and will participate in a cohort with other students in the program. Specialized advising, guest speakers, field trips, and numerous unique learning oppurtunities are all benefits of participation in University Scholars in STEM
