This annual event, held during the end of each spring semester, offers graduating students in University Scholars program an opportunity to be recognized in front of their families for their accomplishments.
Honors and Scholars students gather at the end of each semester to celebrate with tasty cover dishes brought by students and staff. The event builds community in a fun, informal way.
Honors and Scholars students are invited to an Ice Cream Social at the beginning of Spring semester. The Honors Program provides ice cream and students bring their favorite toppings!
Honors and Scholars students are invited to enjoy a day together at Progressive field. The students can build community and have fun watching the Cleveland Indians in action.
The Honors Program invites honors and scholars students interested in applying for the Undergraduate Research Experience at the Cleveland Clinic to attend an informational session once a semester. Application materials are available and Dr. Meiksins goes over application procedures, provides additional information, and answers questions for interested students.
The Honors Program invites all students interested in applying to the Upper Division Honors Program to a workshop in fall semester. CSU students are invited as well as interested students from Lorain Community College, Cuyahoga Community College, and Lakeland Community College. Application materials are available and Dr. Meiksins goes over the application procedures and answers questions.
The Honors Program invites honors and scholars students to a workshop focused around graduate school. The goal is for students to learn if grad school is right for them, to see which grad programs fit their future career goals, and to learn how to apply to graduate school. Dr Meiksins is on hand to answer questions. Several other CSU administrators are also invited to speak to students; these include representatives from Cleveland Marshall College of Law, Graduate Studies, and Pre Professional programs.
The Honors Program invites honors and scholars students to an informational session in fall semester on applying to the Goldwater Scholarship Program. Dr. Meiksins provides student with more information about the scholarship and walks them through the application procedure.
