Peter Meiksins is Director of the Honors Program and Professor of Sociology. He has been teaching at CSU since 1991. In addition to directing the Honors Program, he teaches classes on Race, Class and Gender, Sociological Theory, the Sociology of Work, and Science, Technology and Society. He is the author of several books and numerous articles on the sociology of work, most recently Changing Contours of Work, on which he collaborated with Prof. Stephen Sweet of Ithaca College. Originally from New York City, he has lived in Toronto, Boston, Rochester, NY and now Cleveland. He is married (to a historian) and has a daughter, who is studying Music at the University of Toronto.

Ronnette Johnson joined the Honors Program staff in June 2005. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degree from Cleveland State University. She has worked in the field of academic advisement for over fourteen years as a pre-college and college advisor for middle school, high school and college students. In addition to her employment here at CSU, she has gained invaluable experience from other educational institutions such as David N. Myers College, Cleveland Scholarship Programs, Inc. (College Now), and Case Western Reserve University.

Lauren Davis earned her BA in English and her Masters of Education in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from Kent State University in 2004 and 2006, respectively. She has worked as the University Scholars Advisor at CSU for over four years, advising both Scholars and Honors students. She also advises the freshman national honor society, Alpha Lambda Delta. Ms. Davis truly enjoys her work with Scholars and Honors students at Cleveland State University.

Jami Derry received her B.A. in Political Science from Mount Union College in 2000. In 2002, she joined Cleveland Marshall College of Law as a part time night student. Jami finally graduated with her Juris Doctorate from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in December 2006. Soon after, she enrolled in the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs where she earned her M.P.A. in December 2009.Jami has worked at CSU since July of 2003. She started her CSU career in the Center for International Services and Programs. In CISP, Jami acted as the Financial Coordinator. She joined the Honors Program Office in July 2010 where she holds the position of Administrative Coordinator. As the Administrative Coordinator, Jami’s top priority is to help Honors Students with all non-academic problems they may encounter.
Jami R. Derry, JD/MPA
Brooke Fischbach received her B.A. in Criminology and Sociology and Masters in Sociology from Cleveland State University in 2007 & 2011. She worked for Ohio State Parks for 30 years, and then worked part-time with the seniors for the City of Cleveland Heights. She joined the Honors staff in October of 2012 as the Secretary.
Anjali Barnick received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1989 from the University of MA – Dartmouth. She later earned her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Cleveland State University in 2003. After opening two Math and Reading Centers, and forming a non profit organization, she then began her PhD in Urban Education at Cleveland State University. Additionally, she is also earning her Masters in Global Interactions.
Currently she is the Graduate Assistant within the Honors Program, responsible for the data management for the Choose Ohio First / STEMM funding.
Kasey Fisher is studying Political Science at Cleveland State University. Kasey is in her third year. She is a part of the University Honors Program.
Sajja is studying Software Engineering at Cleveland State University. Sajja is a graduate student.
