Welcome to the Honors Program at Cleveland State University. The University Honors Program, and its sister program University Scholars, offer a welcoming, challenging academic environment for high-achieving students. Cleveland State’s Honors and University Scholars Programs also give students the chance to pursue academic challenges in the context of a major urban university, located in the heart of the city, providing access to a wide range of cultural, research, business and community institutions in which to gain real-world experience.
Students in our programs enjoy many benefits and privileges. These can include:
Students also become members of the Honors community, which includes the opportunity to live on the Honors and Scholars floor in Fenn Tower, to make use of the Honors student lounge, to participate in extra-curricular activities with other high-achieving students, and to interact with and learn from Honors alumni.
Our goal is that every student who completes one of our programs will have an opportunity to go beyond the typical undergraduate experience by doing independent research, gaining real world experience, studying abroad, getting involved in the community and/or by exploring academic areas they hadn’t anticipated studying. Our programs are designed to help talented students achieve at the highest level and to prepare them for future study in graduate and professional programs.
If you are seeking an academic challenge and a stimulating intellectual environment, I encourage you to find out more about our programs by exploring our web page or by contacting us directly to arrange to speak to a member of our staff.
