Greetings everybody! My name is Joe and I am writing from the fine town of Hikone, located in Shiga Prefecture in Japan. I am a third year student at the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor majoring in Asian Studies in the School of Literature, Science, and Arts.

I am currently participating in a study abroad program for an academic year at the Japan Center For Michigan Universities, studying Japanese language and culture. My experiences here in Japan are ones that I will cherish for a lifetime.
