Konnichi wa! Boku no namae wa Tetsuo desu. Yoroshiku.

Hello, my name is Darold; but, to my friends, I'm Tetsuo. Currently I live in Nagahama in Shiga prefecture, but I am from Philadelphia, PA in the United States. My hobbies are video games, anime, and manga. However, video games are not just my hobby. I am studying computer graphics to obtain a job as a graphic artist/designer for a game software company here in Japan.

I have literally devoted my entire life to video games and art. It wasn't until high school that I actually decided to fuse my two interests and persue a carrer in the video game industry.

I also love listening to J-Pop. Some of my recent favorites include Larc-en-Ciel, Luna Sea, Glay, B'z, and Mr. Children.

I also enjoy making cute and pretty Japanese friends. ^_^

My favorite game magazines are Gamest, Famitsu Bros., Weekly Famitsu and Famitsu PS (PlayStation).

Japan has the best game centers in the world -- multi-level buildings (some as high as eight floors) filled with the latest in pure joy gaming. I have seen a ton of games that never saw the light of day in the US and sadly never will.

NEWS FLASH OF NEW TITLES

Many may already know that the long awaited follow up to Capcom's mega hit fighting game has finally appeared. As usual, Street Fighter wouldn't be the same without good "OLD" Ryu and Ken. But there are a host of (eight) new characters: Dudley (a boxer), Yun and Yan (from China), Ibuki (Japanese), and Alex (from New York), to name a few.

I'm looking forward to playing this, but I don't think it will be surprising. With the tons of fighting games here in Japan I won't miss playing it too much. A new system involving choosing a Super Arts technique to fight with is a feature. Other new titles include:

Japan truely is amazing. I first thought coming to Shiga would be a drag. However I have found a place here -- in Nagahama! I have also learned a bit about ways in which Japanese gardens incorporate considerations of traditional architecture and religious beliefs.
