Creighton Gallup's Homepage

My name is Creighton Gallup, and I am currently enrolled at the Japan Center for Michigan Universities, studying the Japanese language. I presently hold a Bachelors Degree in International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University. My interest in Japan and Japanese culture has led me to Hikone, Japan, during the 1996 - 1997 academic year.

During my stay in Japan, I have had the opportunity to participate in many different types of activities. Of them, I have found Shorinji Kempo, a form of Japanese martial arts, one of the most enjoyable. I have been training in Shorinji Kempo to increase my understanding of Japanese and Buddhist culture. Over the course of my stay here, I have become very familiar with these teachings.

Take a look, too, at my comments on Japanese gardens.
