Akhenaton – pharaoh who attempted religious change

 

Important ideas:

n      Culture focused on life after death

n      Rulers hold status as gods

n      Natural barriers create comfortable society

n      Nile river gives example of resurrection

n      Static society – change is traumatic and weakening
