    This is a 2 semester student based Wellness Challenge for Student Organizations and/or individuals. The challenge encourages healthy decisions and lifestyles through involvement in health and wellness related activities, programs and events.

    The challenge begins September 18, 2017 and ends April 6, 2018

  • Safe Space Training 
    September 22, 1-2:30 pm, location IM 311
    Safe Space education serves to reduce the amount of discrimination and promotes inclusivity of all persons. Workshop participants learn about myths and realities, and gain an understanding of pertinent vocabulary used in how individuals define themselves.

    5 minute on line Alcohol screening tool using SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, Referal to treatment). You will be entered into a drawing for a gift card. This resource can help you identify if you are experiencing negative consequences because of your alcohol use. Based on your responses, you will receive non-judgmental feedback encouraging you to think about your choices that may be putting you at risk for harmful consequences. It can also provide ways for you to keep yourself and your friends safer.

    Have your heart rate, blood pressure, and/or cholesterol checked at this drop in event.

    Now that you have taken the Empowered Bystander course, become a trainer and train your friends, classmates and student organizations on how to be an Empowered Bystander. Training is conducted by Recovery Resources.

  • Mental Health First Aid

    Mental Health first aid is an 8 hour training that helps the participant gain an understanding of mental health,  identify signs of mental distress, and intervene in a mental health crisis.
