IS&T provides basic software as part of our standard image that will allow most employees to use the computer for all office related activities.
In addition, we maintain site licenses for several pieces of highly used but specialized software.
Where appropriate, we also maintain buying contracts to allow users to purchase their own software if it is not covered by our standard image or site licenses. We recommend user departments purchase their own software in this case. Departments can use a departmental Pcard, Short Order Form, or Purchase Requisition to make this purchase. When departments purchase their own software, they will then receive any announcements or upgrades directly.
