The College of Graduate Studies is excited to announce the addition of a brand new awards category, the Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT), developed by the University of Queensland. Competition officials describe: The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
The College of Graduate Studies invites Cleveland State University students currently enrolled in Master’s or Ph.D. programs to compete in the Three Minute Thesis Competition. There will be an Outstanding Achievement award and an Excellent Achievement award. The monetary prize associated with the 3MT Outstanding Achievement award is $500 (five hundred dollars), and the monetary prize associated with the 3MT Excellent Achievement award is $250 (two hundred fifty dollars).
The Outstanding Achievement award winner will also have the honor of representing Cleveland State University at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools Annual Meeting 3MT Competition April 5-7, 2017.
