The Graduate Student Advisory Committee a.k.a Graduate Student Life is an advocate for a vast number of CSU graduate degree, certificate and licensure seeking students who are spread out among seven colleges and various campus locations in downtown Cleveland (Main), Westlake (West Center), and Solon (East Center). Because of these multiple locations and variations of day and evening schedules graduate students seldomly have the opportunity to come together to network and socialize collectively as a graduate studies group. It is our goal to offer CSU graduate students the opportunity to come together at least once a month to network and socialize hopefully forming friendships and alliances as students and professionals in their perspective fields. We see this as an opportunity or way to take full advantage of the many intangible resources available through CSU graduate students. Cleveland State University (CSU) is home to *5000 graduate students, which make up nearly 1/3 of the student population.

 

Mission:
To support and represent the graduate student populace as one voice, advocating the needs, concerns and supportive efforts to enhance the higher education learning experience.

Vision:
To address the needs of graduate students, improve communication, make recommendations to advance the University mission, as well as enhance student, faculty and staff relationships.

Membership:
The success of our efforts will require involvement from each College, Program, and graduate student’s participation to support our efforts by becoming involved.

The longevity of our organization will require dedicated student elected officials, student volunteers, CSU leadership, faculty and staff support to succeed.

We are currently accepting NEW members from all Colleges and Programs for the following positions:

*College Liaisons
*General Advocate Members
* Any interested graduate or doctoral students welcome to apply.
**Accepting undergraduate referrals to become Honorary Candidates in their senior year at CSU.
