Visiting Students

Visiting students have a baccalaureate degree and want to take courses for professional development or for personal enjoyment. The application process is streamlined and no application fee is required. Visiting students have no intention of earning a degree, certificate or licensure.

Apply

In order to apply for visiting student status, the Visiting Student Request form (download and print the form, Adobe Acrobat Reader required to download application) must be mailed to:

The University Registrar will contact students via email regarding the status of their request for visiting student status.

Eligibility Requirements

Students are eligible to enroll at Cleveland State as a visiting student and are exempt from the formal application process if they:

  • possess a high school diploma or GED and baccalaureate degree,
  • have successfully completed any applicable prerequisites for the course(s) in which they wish to enroll, and
  • are not explicitly or implicitly enrolling with the intention of earning a degree, certificate or licensure.

Restriction

Financial aid is not available to visiting students.
