Career Services prepares students for success by providing educational and career opportunities beyond their classroom experience. The Office of Counseling and Testing provides personal, academic and career counseling. They offer consultations, outreach programs and other services aimed to help all members of the campus community. Health care is provided to all students, staff & faculty. The clinic is staffed by certified nurse practitioners and two physicians who are qualified to discuss your health history, perform physical examinations and provide care for you.There is no charge for most visits and minimal charges for medications, lab tests, and physical exams. The Office of Disability Services is responsible for assisting eligible students with a disability and coordinating the appropriate accommodations for their needs. The math placement test is required of all transfer students who have not successfully completed college-level math courses at their previous institution and must completed prior to enrolling in any math course. The results will help your Academic Advisor determine the most appropriate math course you take your first semester. You will need to contact the Testing Center at 216.687.2566 to receive your login and password information.
The English placement test is based on certain ACT/SAT scores. If you do not have an ACT or SAT score, you are required to take the placement test. The Tutoring and Academic Success Center is available to assist students in finding the right tutorial assistance and locations of the tutoring centers around campus for 100 level courses. For more information visit the Tutoring Center website. The Math Center is located in MC 471 and offers supplemental tutoring for any mathematics course. Math tutoring is provided on a drop in basis. No appointment is needed. Students must show ID the first time they come for math tutoring. For more information call 216.687.4549. The Writing Center is located on the first floor of the library and will assist students who need help writing college level papers by offering tutoring and workshops to improve writing skills. The CSU Library is a great place to study alone or as a group. Some of the library's many features include computer labs, multimedia equipment, OhioLink, presentation rooms and an adaptive technology lab for students with disabilities.
