Step 10: Purchasing a Parking Pass

All Cleveland State students are required to purchase a parking pass in order to park on campus. Cleveland State offers several types of parking passes for your convenience. The amount of time you will be spending on campus will determine the most economical pass for you.

MUST PAY PASS

This tag is provided to you for no fee, but you must pay when entering a lot. Displaying this tag means you have a registered vehicle and you will pay the current CSU rate to park which is currently at $4 per day. Students with this parking pass are only able to park in ‘core’ parking lots after 2pm; students can park in non-core lots (i.e. surface lots across Chester Avenue) at anytime.

SINGLE, 10 + 1 PASS

Single day parking passes and coupon books are available for advance purchase via CampusNet or in the Parking Services Office. For every 10 single-day parking passes you purchase, you will receive one free pass. These passes cost $4 each. Students with this parking pass are only able to park in 'core' parking lots after 2pm; students can park in non-core lots at anytime. These single-day parking passes also do not expire, so if you order more than needed for one semester you can use them for the next.

PREPAID PASS

This pass is the most cost effective if you will be spending 3 or more days per week on campus. This pass allows you to park in any student lots on campus, including the core. The cost of this pass is currently $160 per semester.

PAY AS YOU GO GARAGES

Students may also park in the pay as you go garages. These garages are the South Garage (SG) located next to the Wolstein Center and the Prospect Garage (PG). These garages charge $1 per hour with a maximum of $6 per day. You pay as you leave and they accept cash or debit/credit card payments.

Students have two options to purchase a parking pass:

  1. Online: Go to the "Parking" tab on CampusNet. Students will need to enter their license plate number and vehicle make and model when purchasing a parking pass. If students purchase their parking pass prior to two weeks before the start of the semester, the parking pass will be mailed directly to the student. After that time, students can purchase a pass online, but need to pick it up in person at Parking Services.
  2. In the Parking Services office: Parking Services is located in the Chester Annex Building, room 128. Students will need their license plate number and vehicle make & model when purchasing a parking pass. Students will also need to pay for their parking pass at the time of purchase.
