Step 8: Paying Your Bill

Tuition

Your tuition is based upon the amount of credit hours you are registered for during the upcoming semester. Tuition rates vary for in-state and out-of-state students. Currently, in-state full time students, 12-16 credit hours, will pay $4,233 per semester (this does not cover room & board, books, parking, or other fees). Students who are registered for 12 or more credit hours are considered full-time students. Full-time and part-time status can impact your financial aid.

Payments

Students can view their tuition bills on CampusNet using your 7-digit CSU ID and password. You will receive an email through your CSU email account (or forwarded address) when your tuition will be posted on CampusNet. The bill will list your actual tuition charges, room and board (if applicable), and any other special fees, such as Orientation. Your books and parking pass will not be included on this bill. It is up to you to purchase your books and parking pass separately. Treasury Services offers several ways of paying your tuition and fees. To pay this bill you may:

Sign Up for the Budget Payment Plan

If you have a minimum balance on your tuition bill of $4,233, then you may split your payment into 3, 4, or 5 separate payments throughout the semester. There is a $30 non-refundable, fee to sign up for this plan. There is also a plan for employer - reimbursement participants.

Use Financial Aid

Your award letter will be mailed to you and requires a signature of approval with its return. Your tuition bill will not reflect any financial aid you will receive. Please subtract the amount of aid that you will receive from your account balance, and pay the remaining balance to Cleveland State. Financial Aid will get posted prior to the first day of classes if all financial aid and other paperwork has been completed and returned in a timely fashion.

Pay with Cash, Check, Credit Card or Money Order

The Office of Treasury Services does accept cash, check or money order in their office. Credit cards may only be used online and carries a 2.9% service charge. An electronic check may be used to pay a bill online without a service fee. If you have any questions about paying your bill or financial aid, please call the Campus411 staff at 216.687.5411 or visit the Office of Treasury Services located at Main Classroom 115.
