Cleveland State University

Orientation for Incoming Freshmen

Before Orientation

Submit Housing Application

Living on campus is one of the best ways to receive a well rounded college experience. Cleveland State offers three residence halls: Fenn Tower, Euclid Commons, and Heritage Hall (reserved for students who are a sophomore and above or at least 21 years of age). These residence halls quickly become your home away from home. The Department of Residence Life strives to engage all students through fun activities and events throughout the entire school year.

During Orientation, you will have the option to tour Fenn Tower or Euclid Commons. On the tour, you will get to see a typical room and learn about the amenities provided such as kitchenettes, game rooms, cable television, high speed internet, and much more.

Students can complete the application and lease during Orientation; however, we recommend doing this prior to the event. Spaces to live on campus fill up quickly; we encourage you to complete the application and lease early to ensure your room.

If you plan to live on campus: You must complete the housing application with an application fee.

  1. Visit the Department of Residence Life website and complete the housing application online. Please note that the application will not be processed without the $20.00 application fee.
  2. Once the application and fee are received, you will be mailed a leasing agreement. The leasing agreement requires a signature and a $150 security deposit.
