Orientation

What to Expect

Incoming Freshmen

Orientation is a full-day required program for incoming first-year students. During orientation, students will take their placement tests (if applicable), meet with an academic advisor, register for courses, receive their Viking ID card and explore the campus. Students will also participate in sessions on general education requirements, campus safety, financial aid, tuition and student involvement.

For more information please visit the Incoming Freshmen Orientation website.

Transfer Students

To best meet your needs, we provide programs and services designed especially for transfer students. All transfer orientation programs are optional, but highly recommended. Transfer Orientation is a convenient afternoon program that includes academic advising, course registration, information on financial aid and tuition, Viking ID cards and campus tours. We also offer Online Transfer Orientation for students who are not able to come to campus, but would still like to receive information pertinent to transitioning to Cleveland State.

For more information please visit the Transfer Student Orientation website.
