The estimates apply to full-time,first-time degree seeking undergraduate students only. The estimates include students who completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and those who received a merit and/or athletic award. For information on CSU scholarships visit www.csuohio.edu/enrollmentservices/financialaid.
These estimates do not represent a final determination, or an actual award, of financial aid nor a final net price; they are only estimates based on price of attendance and financial aid provided to students in 2012-13. The price of attendance and financial aid availability change year to year, these estimates shall not be binding on the Secretary of Education, the institution of higher education, or the State.
Not all students receive financial aid. In 2012-13, 79% of our full-time students enrolling for college for the first time received grant/scholarship aid. Students may also be eligible for student loans and work-study.
Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to determine their eligibility for Federal financial aid that includes Federal grant, loan, or work-study assistance. For more information on applying for Federal student aid, go to www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Cleveland State University is pleased to provide this student aid calculator as a guide for families planning how they can pay for college.
The actual scholarship and/or grant award package will vary depending upon the following factors:
Merit awards are determined based on eligibility for admission into a degree granting program, actual test scores, academic information and meeting scholarship deadlines. Please visit www.csuohio.edu/enrollmentservices/financialaid for more information on financial aid programs available at CSU.
The cost figures used in the calculator are a combination of direct (tuition and applicable fees) as well as indirect (allowances for books, transportation and miscellaneous personal expenses). The calculation also includes an average campus room and board plan as well as a room and board allowance for students who choose to live off-campus.
Every student will be charged tuition, the Upass fee and applicable fees; Tuition is based on credit hour enrollment. Students living in a university residence hall will be assessed room and board charges. All other figures included in the Cost of Attendance are estimated expenses associated with attending the university and will vary with each student.
