The CSU-UTC looks to provide appropriate resources and training for transportation professionals: resources and training needed to maintain credentials required by the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, among others. Years ago, Cleveland-area industry leaders sought just such help in educating and training their workers in critical matters relative to work zone safety. The CSU-UTC arose with this request in mind. Now, the CSU-UTC develops and offers professional development, continued education, and certificate programs to those working in heavy highway construction and roadside safety.
