Minority Student Services

As one of America's great urban universities, Cleveland State recognizes its responsibility to increase the quality of life-through educational opportunities, for members of under-represented and minority groups.

Washkewicz College itself takes great pride in its efforts to not only recruit a Variety of students, but also to encourage them, retain them, and ensure that they have tools for success.

These efforts include special programs, as well as scholarships and counseling.

Some examples are:

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

NSBE is one of 15 student engineering chapters at Washkewicz College.  NSBE membership is open to students from all engineering disciplines.  The NSBE office also houses the PEP and EPIC programs which assist students with mathematics.  The NSBE office is located in Stilwell Hall, room 258.
