Welcome to Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering!
The Industrial Engineering curriculum has prepared our students for their careers in the food, pharmaceuticals, steel, automotive, and telecommunications industries as well as in the service industries of health care, banking, finance, insurance, transportation, government, and consulting.
Industrial Engineers apply scientific and mathematical principles to the design, improvement, and installation of integrated systems of people, material, information, and energy. Because the Industrial Engineer's work involves integrated systems of people, equipment and information, Industrial Engineering is known as "people-oriented engineering."
Industrial Engineering is one of the most diverse, and rewarding disciplines, with high pay, job opportunities in a multiplicity of enterprises, and great potential for career advancement. Current demand for Industrial Engineers is high, and is projected to continue.
