Assistant Professor of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering
The Department of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering of the Fenn College of Engineering at Cleveland State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. This position is to support the strategic expansion of our Biomedical Engineering Program.
Candidates with expertise and research interests in any area of Biomedical Engineering will be considered,
however, candidates that can complement our current research strengths in Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering, or related technologies and strengthen existing collaborations with the Cleveland Clinic and the basic science
departments of Cleveland State are of particular interest.
Candidates must hold a Doctoral Degree and demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and
research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses, supervise graduate student research, and establish an independent, externally funded research program.
The position will commence August 19, 2013.

The Department offers Biomedical Engineering degrees at the Masters level and
Doctoral level through a joint program with the Lerner Research Institute of the
Cleveland Clinic. In addition to the graduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering,
the Department also offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees in Chemical
