The Center Director will be Dr. Edward Keshock, Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department. Professor Keshock has had extensive professional experiences at NASA, Old Dominion University, University of Tennessee, Air Force Institute of Technology (Visiting Distinguished Professor, 1990), and Cleveland State University, spanning a period of more than forty years. Interspersed with these experiences have been a variety of multiple long-term international experiences at universities and research institutions in Taiwan, China, Saudi Arabia, England, Slovakia (currently Honorary Consul for Slovakia in Ohio) and Russia (Fulbright Scholar, 2003).
With respect to design activity, Professor Keshock has been responsible for teaching of the Mechanical Engineering capstone design courses (Design Project I and Design Project II) for the past several years. During that period his supervision of the student design teams have resulted in numerous excellent designs of mechanical/thermal systems, and in some cases, award- winning achievements. Therefore, Professor Keshock is an appropriate and capable person to serve as Director (and founder) of this Design, Innovation and Entrepreneurial Center, by virtue of his professional and academic experiences and achievements.
The Center Associate Director will be Dr. John Frater, who has excellent professional qualifications relative to this Center.
