The Fenn Strategic Plan:

Strategic Planning began during a two-day retreat hosted by Dean Ghorashi - Aug 19 and 21, 2008 - at Cleveland State University's Mather Mansion. "Affinity Groups " composed of Faculty and Staff that felt passionately about a particular subject, formed during this event. Each affinity group focussed on a special topic, such as: recruitment, marketing and fundraising, curriculum, reserach and outreach to industry. Following these individual meetings, Dean Bahman Ghorashi hosted Several meetings to guide and review the ongoing process. Affinity groups then gave presentations and progress reports to faculty detailing their suggestions and findings. These presentations were followed by feedback questionnaires that offered administrators, faculty, staff and students the chance to ask questions and provide positive critique. Utilizing this data, each affinity group reconvened, revised their recommendations as necessary, and then presented final reports for inclusion within the strategic plan. These final recommendations comprise the majority of the College's Vision and strategy for establishing positive growth during the next five years. Affinity group recommendations are included below.
