FOSTERING SUCCESS AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS
The Fostering Success and Leadership Programs are designed for youth who are aging out of foster care or experienced foster care and aspire to pursue an undergraduate degree. The following programs will support those individuals through customized and unique services that will enhance and improve their academic outcomes, encourage an enriching and engaging campus life, and support completion of earning an undergraduate degree from CSU.
The Sullivan-Deckard and Helen Packer Scholarship Opportunity Programs provide an opportunity for highly motivated youth who are aging out of foster care to pursue an undergraduate degree. The programs offer the benefits of a world-class education at Cleveland State University with a system of support that is customized and structured to meet the academic, social and financial needs of college students. The goal is to help students make a smooth transition to independent living, successfully complete engaged learning for personal and professional development, and ultimately earn a Bachelor’s Degree.
The Pratt Center - Fostering Success and Leadership is designed to provide academic support services, personal and professional development activities for CSU students who have exited foster care and are pursuing a Bachelor's degree. Special attention through customized services will be given to the unique needs of foster care alumni enrolled at CSU as freshmen, transfer students from an accredited institution or returning students who previously stopped - out or dropped - out of college before earning a Bachelor's degree.
