eLearning Fundamentals

Online Course Design & Development Diagram Technology and pedagogy are intertwined in the design and development of online courses and programs. They key is to plan out your course properly so that you are using sound instructional practices and know what new technology you need to learn or where you need help. This section of the Center for eLearning website provides you with a four component process for designing and developing an online course. Surrounding these components is a course visioning piece in which you focus on who your learners are, what the overall course goals are, and a plan for assessment. This recursive process is composed of course organization, units of instruction, interactive tool selection, and content selection and creation.
