This is our weekly Bible Study every Tuesday this semester from 12 Noon - 1PM (1844 Euclid Ave., one block west of UC and Viking Hall). Come join us and have a great time sharing with other students your experiences, ideas and thoughts as we take a good look at people of faith from both the Old and New Testaments who triumphed over the pressures and challenges they encountered. We'll learn from them and see how we, too, can triumph in our faith. Bring a lunch and a friend if you can!!
This is a weekly Discussion group led by one of our students - Benjamin Gates. It is a group for the thinking person of faith who wants to discuss current issues and concerns that affect our life and faith. Bring an educated opinion and a friend and enjoy the fun. If you want to learn and be challenged to grow, even disagree, this group is for you. There are FREE Snacks!!
College students are needed to help tutor inner-city school children in Reading, Math, Spelling, Computer Skills and Homework in grades 1 - 6 each Tuesday of the fall semester. If you want to help make a lasting difference in the life of a child then please help us tutor. We will tutor 5 minutes from CSU at E. 30th & Prospect at Zion Lutheran Church. We will meet at The EDGE at 2:45 and go over together in cars. If you can't come with us then meet us there to help. It's a short distance from CSU. We take Prayer Requests and offer a place where you can stop by during breaks from class or when you're walking to class and meet other students. We've got lots of literature available with resources that help you integrate your faith with your academic studies. Just look for our "Praying Hands" Display.

Join us for our 8th CONSECUTIVE YEAR as we pray each Thursday for CSU Students, Faculty and Staff and for your prayer requests. This is the 8th year gathering during Common Hour to pray for CSU. Feel free to bring a lunch and it's okay to come late or leave early, whatever your schedule allows. We're located at 1844 Euclid Ave, one block west of UC and Viking Hall. We pray to see God act at CSU to bring revival and people to faith in Him and to work in the lives of others to help make our world a better place.
We hope you'll be able to come and worship the Lord as we visit a really cool church on the east side, the Church of the Good Shepherd (next to Legacy Village on Cedar Road). They have a really good mix of people along with Contemporary Music, Prayer, Scripture Readings, excellent Preaching and celebrate Holy Communion every week. Feel free to bring a friend as we worship the Lord together every Sunday during the school year!! Let us know if you need a ride and we'll carpool. Church is over by 11:30 am. Join other CSU women students in a safe and confidential space for Bible Study, Prayer Support, Devotions and Discussion of important women's issues from a perspective of Christian faith. The Group is led by three CSU students: Courtney, Rachel and Megan. If you need support and encouragement in your faith walk, then this group is just for you. Bring a friend and enjoy the time together!!!
This annual exhibition of the Illustrators Society includes paintings, drawings, watercolors, and mixed media from some of Northeast Ohio's best illustrators, including among others:
Milan Kecman: staff artist at the PLAIN DEALER The awards are juried by the internationally renown watercolorist David Rankin. Opening Reception: Friday, Sept 15 from 6 - 8 p.m. Come meet the Illustrators and see their wonderful work. Live Music; Food, Wine & Refreshments will be served. The EDGE: Lutheran Campus Ministry & Art Gallery and Newman Catholic Campus Ministry are sponsoring its "3rd ANNUAL OVERNIGHT PRAYER VIGIL" on Friday, Sept 22 at 6pm - Saturday, Sept 23 at 9am at The EDGE, 1844 Euclid Ave (one block west of University Center and Viking Hall). All are invited to come and pray for: All the Nations of the World, Peace, Justice, City, State and National Leaders, the Church, Families, CSU, Revival, etc... Interested people NEED TO RESERVE IN ADVANCE a 30 minute or more block of time to help pray for these important concerns. FREE Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Pizza, Stromboli and Pastries will be available. The event is FREE and Open to the public. WANTED: Musicians, Singers, Poets, Comedians, Actors, Rap Artists to share their art at our COFFEEHOUSE MUSIC & POETRY NIGHT! The EDGE proudly sponsors its HALLOWEEN COFFEEHOUSE for College Students & All Others!!!! We will have:
Open Mic Lots of COFFEE, TEA, PIZZA, STROMBOLI, PASTRIES, CIDER & POP!! So, if you're a Musician, Poet, Singer, Comedian, Actor, Rapper, Performer, whatever, and you're interested, you need to sign up in order to share your talent that night. OPEN INVITATION: Any Christian adult (must be 18 years or older, out of high school) is invited to submit 1-3 works (any Subject Matter, Medium, Style) to The EDGE Art Gallery. DEADLINE for submissions is 6 P.M., Monday, November 27, 2006. Each work MUST BE Installation-Ready-to-Hang! (mounted/framed). PRINT ALL INFO: Name, Address, Phone Number, Email, Title of Each Work, Sale Price, Congregation & City, PLUS an Artist Statement on a separate sheet of paper for each piece. If you know of any other Christian artist who has juried quality art, please pass this information along to them.
