More About Us

THE EDGE Lutheran Campus Ministry & Art Gallery..."The Most Active Campus Ministry at CSU" invites you to become a part of an exciting and dynamic campus ministry and to get involved as a student here at CSU. We offer a creative and exciting home to share hopes and dreams, to question and explore, to laugh, serve, and to grow closer to God as we give faithful witness to Jesus Christ, the foundation of our faith journey at CSU.

The EDGE THE EDGE acts as a catalyst for reflective creativity and dialogue. Our mission is to provide and promote creative, artistic expression, educational enrichment, spiritual formation, community service, and compassionate hospitality. We've had over 10,000 visitors since we opened in 2002!

THE EDGE features a variety of local, regional, and emerging artists in our monthly art exhibitions; a diverse cadre of talented musicians, poets, singers, and performers in our Friday Night Coffeehouse and First Friday FREE Dinner, Discussion, & Performance Series. Various university professors, community leaders, and students speak on relevant topics and issues in the lives of college students and young adults at our dinners. Bible study, prayer gatherings, retreats, worship services, and much more are also offered by THE EDGE.

We seek to be a community where faith and life, heart and mind come together for the glory of God.

If you wish to be a part of this faith journey, or would like more information on anything, please feel free to contact us.

The EDGE

Did You Know...

Lutheran campus ministry began over 90 years ago in 1907, at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, when a pastor was first called to minister to Lutheran students.

The Lutheran Student Association of America (LSAA) began over 75 years ago in 1922, at a national student conference in Toledo, Ohio. In 1969, it was renamed the Lutheran Student Movement (LSM). National student gatherings are still held annually.

Lutheran Campus Ministry in Ohio is active at the following universities:

  • Ohio University (Athens)
  • Bowling Green State University
  • University of Cincinnati
  • Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland)
  • Ohio State University (Columbus)
  • Kent State University (Kent)
  • Miami University (Oxford)
  • University of Toledo

As Lutheran Campus Ministry of Greater Cleveland continues this tradition, the ministry is carried out by the campus pastor, student interns, and our Campus Board of Directors. The current Board includes students, graduates, and other lay professional people interested in ministry to young adults.
