Centerfest Dance Showcase at the Ohio Theater
The duet “Bare Feet in the Park” is a whimsical, nostalgic look at an aging couple’s visit to the park.
Umbrellas and a park bench set the stage for this dance in three parts choreographed and performed by Dance/Theater Collective founding members and long time dance partners Joe Booth and Lynn Deering.

CSU Fall Dance Concert
Drinko Recital Hall, Music and Communication Building
Cleveland State University Dance presented the CSU Fall Dance Concert ‘09," a repertory concert featuring CSU alumni along with the CSU Dance Company, faculty and guests performing both new and restaged contemporary dance works. Guest artist Tammy Metz Starr premiered “Falling In” inspired by the art and music of Yoko Ono. Antaeus Dance Company performed “Drift In, Drop Out” to an evocative sound score by Phillip Glass and Allen Ginsberg. CSU alumnus Ray Shaw created a new kinetically charged trio, “Spelled Out,” for CSU alum Carol Ann Polin, Heike Heinrich and Marissa Glorioso and several CSU alumni were seen in the restaging of excerpts from Lynn Deering’s “Sight through Surface,” created originally in the Food for Thought project. The CSU Dance Company also performed in the new work “Repercussions” to a collage of music including drum line, tango, and the vocalizations of Meredith Monk and a musical interlude was performed by Mike McNamara. Made possible with the support of the CSU College of Education and Human Services, CSU General Fee Committee and the Ohio Arts Council.
