David Parker/Bang Group Master Class

Maurice Fraga, dancer/choreographer, led a contemporary dance master class that focused on movement efficiency and clarity of weight transfer. The class was free and open to members of the community.

Nora Chipaumire Master Class
Nora Chipaumire of Urban Bush Women led a contemporary dance master class that emphasized polyrhythms of the body and undulating use of the spine and pelvis. The class was free and open to members of the community, and was attended by members of Groundworks Dance Theatre and Inlet Dance Company.

Habib Iddrisu led a African dance master class for the Understanding Culture through the Expressive Arts Learning Community. He also conducted a lecture demonstration titled “Ancestral Wisdom” for DAN 212H and community members.
