Viking Outfitters, located in the Student Center at East 21st Street and Euclid Avenue, is the official source of your graduation needs and operates "Graduation Central" which features one-stop shopping for your academic regalia (a cap, gown, tassel, and hood, if appropriate) as well as graduation tickets, graduate name cards, class rings, announcements, diploma frames and other campus memorabilia.

Graduate Name Cards

At the time you purchase your cap and gown, you will be given a card to complete. This card will be used to announce your name as you walk across the stage. Complete the card in its entirety and leave the card at Viking Outfitters. It will be picked up by a Commencement representative and forwarded to your College prior to the ceremony.

Students who already have a cap and gown, but may still need to visit Viking Outfitters for the purchase of a tassel or other item, should complete the graduate name card and obtain their graduation tickets while at Viking Outfitters. Tickets will not be mailed.

Graduation Tickets

Tickets are required for admission into the Wolstein Center. When you purchase your academic regalia from Viking Outfitters, you will be asked how many graduation tickets you require. Each graduate is entitled to receive six (6) graduation tickets. Children under the age of five do not require a ticket.

If you require additional graduation tickets, you may request them at that time. Requests will be filled subject to availability. The University makes every effort to provide graduates with extra tickets as needed. Should you not require all six of your tickets, please leave any extras with Viking Outfitters staff for use by other graduates. Graduation tickets must be picked up from Viking Outfitters and will not be mailed.

Academic Regalia (cap, gown and accessories)

Rental Information:

Orders placed for the rental of academic regalia for Ph.D. and Doctorate candidates must be made by Saturday, April 14, 2012 to avoid late fees. Payment can be made by cash, credit card or check made payable to the CSU Bookstore. Graduates will be called when regalia is ready for pick up.

2012 Academic Regalia Rental Prices:

• Doctorate Complete Unit (Cap, Gown, Hood and Tassel): $62.00 plus tax
  
• Doctorate Tam: $30.00 plus tax
  (Note – Doctorate hoods must be returned as part of the complete regalia unit rental.)

Rental-only prices are listed for Ph.D. and Doctoral candidates. If you are interested in the purchase of custom-made Doctorate regalia, please contact Keith McCann at (216) 687-2131 or e-mail k.c.mccann@csuohio.edu to arrange an appointment for custom fitting and consultation. Purchases require a minimum of 6-8 weeks to process and deliver. Custom-made regalia orders must be placed no later than Saturday, April 14, 2012. The minimum purchase price range begins at $500. You will be contacted when the regalia comes in.

The last day to order rentals before the late fee is Saturday, April 14, 2012.

Late processing fees and rush shipping charges will apply to all rental orders as follows:
April 16 - 28, 2012 - $25.00 late/rush fee
April 30 - May 5, 2012 - $50.00 late/rush fee

Purchase Information:

Academic regalia will be available for purchase beginning Monday, April 2, 2012. Payment can be made by cash, credit card or check made payable to the Viking Outfitters.

• Bachelor's Complete Unit (Cap, Gown and Tassel): $46.00 plus tax
• Master's Complete Unit (Cap, Gown, Hood and Tassel) $72.50 plus tax
• Master's Hood: $34.75 plus tax

Saturday, May 5, 2012 is the last day to purchase or rent all regalia for the May 12, 2012 Commencement.

Graduation Announcements and Class Rings

Graduation announcements, both personalized and general announcements, along with class rings are available for purchase at Viking Outfitters. To order personalized announcements, you must place a special order with the vendor Herff Jones directly. Announcements can be ordered online at www.herffjones.com/college/graduation. Please note - special order items require production time; therefore, place your orders early. Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.

The Herff Jones representative will be visiting Viking Outfitters to assist with class rings, announcements and regalia sales on the following dates:
April 2 (noon - 5 p.m.) rings and regalia
April 3 (noon - 5 p.m.) rings and regalia
April 4 (noon - 5 p.m.) rings and regalia
