Studies in Television, Film, Radio, and New Media

The roots of the DVCOMM production center go back to 1990 when this million dollar facility was built to teach mainly Television and Radio production. This Broadcast quality facility created programming for local broadcasters, local cable outlets and regional cable networks. Recently, we have evolved with the growing industry and now offer new courses in DVD Production, Avid non linear editing, single and multiple camera production classes using 3 chip DV cameras. Our 30' x 40' Broadcast Studio, Leitch digital server, SP Betacam and DVCPro Videotape machines are the standards in the industry. Real world tools have benefited the many students who are currently employed in the market. Tools are great, but knowledge is power. Eighty percent of our faculty and staff average over 20 years of real world experience. Hands on courses guided by professionals make this production track one of hidden gems here at Cleveland State University.
