Professional Experience & Community Activities
Clifford Anthony, a recipient of several local and national journalism awards, has 25 years experience in journalism.
Before joining CSU as a full-time faculty member in fall 2005, Anthony was the Geauga County bureau chief for The News-Herald, a daily published from Willoughby, Ohio.
He also had worked for newspapers in Bombay, India, and Oman, Middle East.
He had taught Media Writing at CSU and English at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio, both on a part-time basis for five years.
A board member of the Society of Professional Journalists’ Cleveland Chapter, Anthony is involved in several journalism groups.
Education
Anthony has two master’s degrees: One in Journalism from Kent State University and another in English from Bombay University, India.
He is a recipient of Points-To-Certificate teaching program from Lakeland Community College.
