I am fortunate to work with and for such a professional and focused team.
Our membership has reached an all-time HIGH. The feedback from our programs and consultation has been very positive. And we continue to develop timely and topical collaborations.
This summer we held five workshops WHICH served 140 plus educators. Our Fall numbers were very encouraging. Our eight workshops had 420 participants. Our individual district and building consultation continues to increase including 52 days of on site support serving over 1900 teachers and administrators. Three topics seemed to generate the most interest
- Assessment
- Leadership
- Classroom management and student relationships.
In all our consultation special attention is made to personalize the program to individual building and/or district needs. We do not believe in a one size fits all!!!!!
Our networks continue to provide participants with cutting edge information in data analysis (STATS), high school transformation, literacy, and advanced placement endeavors. Two hundred forty-eight energetic learners participated in our Fall network activities.
We recently were awarded an $80,000 grant by the Jennings Foundation to work on implementing 21st century skills in high school and freshman CSU classrooms. In conjunction with our high school transformation network and the 9-16 Task Force of the College of Education and Human Services we will be working with 24 teachers from area districts and 4 CSU professors. Look for a culminating event on July 31, 2008 – Showcase.
